Classification-Draft Two
The Variety of Teachers
I have met a variety of teachers. Some of teachers have great influences on me, but others just teach little to students. In my opinion, teachers may be classified in three main types: the first type is charming teacher who is popular among students; the second type is conscientious teacher who is respected by students, and the final type is indolent teacher who doesn’t have the intent of teaching.
The teachers whose teaching method is full of humor in class are charming teachers. I am glad that I have met a lot of charming teachers so far. I was impressed by Jeff who is my excellent English teacher. He not only majored in English but also in marketing; therefore, he had a battery of special teaching method which combined English and marketing. That means he knew how to let students to learn English grammar in an easy and clear way. Besides, he was a educated teacher who always share with us much extracurricular knowledge. His special and humorous teaching methods helped students very much.
Conscientious teachers are the teachers who are very serious in class and care about students very much. The first person who appears in my mind was my previous school’s instructor, Mrs. Wen, who had taught me for five years. She was just liked our mother; she taught us much knowledge not only from text book but also from daily life. She had very strict rules in her class, such as not being late for school and handing in homework on time. If you don’t follow these rules, she will be very angry. She wouldn’t be as our friend, yet she would be like mother. She really concerned with our life, homework, family and behavior. Other teachers always told us that we are lucky to have such a great instructor.
The final type of teachers I have had are indolent teachers whose teaching attitudes are excursive and don’t help their student understand courses. In effect, I have met many teachers of this kind. Their teaching styles were just the same, such as monotonous voice and changeless teaching ways. I haven’t acquired any knowledge from these teachers. Furthermore, they didn’t want to improve their ways even most students feel asleep. These teachers didn’t care whether students learned knowledge or not.
I think most students like teachers who are humorous and really care about students. No one likes indolent teachers who always waste our time. Both Jeff and Mrs. Wen have great influences on my life. I think I am so lucky that I met these great teachers.
