From Table 1 it can be shown that the proportion of different categories of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999. As can be seen, aged couple (4%) has the minimal ratio of all types. Types of single aged person(6%) and couple with no children (7%) are a little more than aged people. All households (11%) and couple with children (12%) are in the middle ratio of types. Single, no children (19%) and sole parent (21%) are in the peak.
